Prolonged Detention

I don't believe further comment by ME is necessary. Y'all have fun.

  1. Oh, Nancy! It's chilling.

And I think he is bothered too. There was a change in his manner when he came to the 'awkward' part. He looked embarrassed; miserable even.

I think he must be in a very difficult position. I expect he has been given information which he was not privy to until he became president and that has frightened him.

At the same time, fighting terrorism by withdrawing liberties seems neither right nor moral. It is likely to agtagonise people further and it is daft to defend liberty by withdrawing it.

As the commentator mentions, we have had debates like this too. And house arrest has been introduced - something I associate with apartheid South Africa. Threats may be frightening - but so are arrests and detention without charge.

On a less serious note. I hope mentioning you on HUGH AND CAMELLIA is ok. If not, let me know and I'll change it.

  2. Maddow's position and that of her idiot guest make perfect sense if one is, as they are, talking about "criminals," rather than enemy combatants captured outside the United States.
